EYFS Audit — Day Visit

A full day on-site, structured around the current Ofsted Early Years Inspection Toolkit, giving you and your team an honest, experienced view of where you stand against the EYFS framework.

Drawing on 20 years of sector experience, this audit follows the rhythm of a real inspection day — observing practice, talking with staff, reviewing documentation, and evaluating against the seven areas of the current toolkit. You'll get direct, practical feedback on strengths and priorities, with no surprises left for the real thing. This is delivered by an ex inspector. 

What's included (Verbal Feedback Only):

• A full day on-site following an inspection-style structure
• Observations of practice across the setting
• Discussions with leadership and staff
• A review of key documentation and evidence
• Detailed verbal feedback at the end of the day, covering strengths and priority actions

Example of activities in a typical visit:
Initial meeting with managers/senior leaders
Tour of site indoor and outdoor used by EYFS
Observations
Lunchtime observations
Observation of sleep and outdoor play
Safeguarding and SEND discussions with appropriate leaders
Discussion about curriculum design and implementation
Verbal feedback to senior leaders.

• Clear, evidenced findings suitable for sharing with your staff team, committee, or governing body
• Prioritised action points to guide your improvement planning

Travel: Included for round trips up to 150 miles. For settings further afield, an overnight stay (typically Premier Inn or similar) may be required — get in touch before booking and I'll confirm availability and any additional cost.
