Hi, I’m Jayne — Founder of Renona Early Years

I created Renona Early Years because, after more than 20 years of working in and leading early years provision, I know just how demanding the sector can be.

My career has given me the opportunity to experience early years from many different perspectives — as a fully qualified teacher a long-standing setting manager, an Ofsted Early Years Inspector and a contributor to Department for Education training modules. Each of these roles has shaped the way I understand quality, leadership and the realities of working with young children. 

My time as an inspector gave me a valuable insight into the inspection process and what inspectors are looking for. But I discovered that I much prefer being on this side of the process — helping settings before an inspection rather than being the person carrying it out. 

I want to use my experience to help leaders and practitioners. I can be the inspector who is on your side — using my experience and insight to help your setting grow, improve and succeed.

As an inspector, I always took an advisory approach, genuinely wanting to help settings improve through realistic, achievable next steps and targets. I believed it was important not simply to identify what needed to improve, but to explain why those improvements mattered and the reasoning behind each recommendation. This helped leaders understand the bigger picture and see how meaningful changes could take their setting to the next level.

That is why I created Renona.

Through practical CPD, carefully developed resources and personalised consultancy, I want to provide the kind of support I know early years professionals actually need — clear, realistic and grounded in the everyday realities of running and working in a setting.
