Consultancy Terms and Conditions

Renona Early Years Consultancy Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to consultancy services provided by Renona Early Years. By purchasing, booking or participating in a consultancy service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.

1. About the Service

Renona Early Years provides professional consultancy, guidance and support to individuals and organisations working within the Early Years sector.

Consultancy services may include:

  • One-to-one online consultations
  • Support for childminders, nursery owners, managers and leaders
  • Practice and provision reviews
  • Ofsted and inspection preparation
  • Safeguarding and welfare discussions
  • Leadership and quality improvement support
  • Policy, documentation and compliance guidance
  • Bespoke consultancy and in-setting support

The exact scope of the service will depend on the consultancy product or package purchased.

2. Professional Advice and Outcomes

All consultancy is provided in good faith and is based on professional knowledge, experience and the information available at the time of the service.

Renona Early Years provides independent professional consultancy and support. Consultancy does not constitute an official inspection, legal advice or formal regulatory approval.

While support may help you prepare for inspection and improve practice, no particular Ofsted, ISI, local authority or other regulatory inspection outcome or judgement can be guaranteed.

The client remains responsible for ensuring that their setting, policies, procedures and practice comply with all applicable legislation, statutory requirements and regulatory guidance.

3. Information Provided by the Client

The quality and relevance of consultancy advice may depend on the information provided by the client.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and relevant information. Renona Early Years cannot accept responsibility for advice affected by information that is inaccurate, incomplete, withheld or subsequently changed.

4. Bookings and Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A purchase does not automatically confirm a specific appointment time unless a date and time have been successfully booked and confirmed.

Clients are responsible for booking their consultation using the booking instructions provided following purchase.

5. Rescheduling and Cancellations

Clients may request to reschedule a booked consultation by providing at least 1 week notice for a full refund.

Where there is 6-3 days notice  50% of the fee will be refunded. Less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the session may be treated as used and a replacement appointment may not be offered.

If a client does not attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice, the session will be considered a no-show and no refund will be provided.

Renona Early Years understands that exceptional circumstances can occur, and these may be considered at our discretion.

6. Late Arrival

Consultations will normally begin and end at the scheduled times.

If a client arrives late, the session may still need to finish at the originally scheduled end time. Additional time cannot be guaranteed.

If the consultant is delayed, the full booked consultation time will be provided wherever reasonably possible or an alternative arrangement will be offered.

7. Cancellations by Renona Early Years

In the unlikely event that Renona Early Years needs to cancel or rearrange a consultation, the client will be offered an alternative appointment.

If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, a refund may be provided for the affected service.

Renona Early Years will not be responsible for additional costs or losses incurred as a result of a cancelled or rescheduled appointment.

8. Refunds

Due to the nature of consultancy services and the reservation of professional time, refunds are not normally available once a consultation has taken place.

Cancellation and refund rights will be provided in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Where a client requests that a consultancy service begins during any applicable statutory cancellation period, the client may be required to acknowledge that their cancellation rights may be affected once the service has been fully performed.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

9. Confidentiality

Information shared during a consultancy session will be treated professionally and confidentially.

However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where:

  • There is a safeguarding concern relating to a child or vulnerable person
  • There is a legal requirement to disclose information
  • Disclosure is required by a court or relevant authority
  • There is a serious and immediate risk of harm

Clients should avoid sharing unnecessary personally identifiable information about children, families or staff.

Where individual cases are discussed, information should be anonymised wherever possible.

10. Safeguarding

Renona Early Years takes safeguarding seriously.

If information shared during a consultation raises a significant safeguarding concern, Renona Early Years may advise the client to follow their safeguarding procedures and contact the appropriate safeguarding agency or authority.

Where there is a legal or professional duty to disclose information, confidentiality may be overridden.

Consultancy support does not replace the client's own safeguarding responsibilities or the advice of statutory safeguarding agencies.

11. Recording of Sessions

Consultancy sessions must not be audio recorded, video recorded, transcribed using automated or AI tools, photographed or otherwise reproduced without prior written agreement from Renona Early Years.

Where recording is agreed, the purpose and permitted use of the recording must be confirmed in advance.

12. Intellectual Property

All resources, documents, templates, frameworks, presentations and other materials provided by Renona Early Years remain the intellectual property of Renona Early Years unless otherwise stated.

Materials provided as part of consultancy are for the purchasing client's or organisation's own internal use.

They must not be:

  • Resold
  • Republished
  • Uploaded to public websites or shared drives accessible outside the purchasing organisation
  • Distributed to other organisations
  • Used to create competing commercial products or services
  • Reproduced for commercial purposes

without prior written permission.

13. Technology and Online Consultations

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have suitable internet access and equipment for online consultations.

Renona Early Years cannot be held responsible for technical difficulties caused by the client's internet connection, equipment or third-party platforms.

Where significant technical problems prevent a session from taking place, reasonable efforts will be made to rearrange the consultation.

14. Respectful and Professional Conduct

Consultancy sessions are intended to provide a professional, constructive and supportive environment.

Renona Early Years reserves the right to end a session where there is abusive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour. In such circumstances, a refund may not be provided.

15. Limitation of Liability

Renona Early Years will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renona Early Years will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from decisions made by a client following consultancy advice.

The client remains responsible for all operational, management, employment, safeguarding and regulatory decisions relating to their setting or business.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

16. Changes to Services or Terms

Renona Early Years may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The terms applicable to a consultancy booking will normally be those in place at the time of purchase, unless a change is required by law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
